FOUNDING RESEARCH PARTNERS / INVITATION

A small force.
A shared frontier.

Help turn a precise question about light and motion into an experiment that stands up to scrutiny.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Build the measurement.
Earn the next step.

Metric Flight is inviting a focused group of organizations to help scope, build and independently challenge its first optical-momentum experiment.

01 / REVIEW & DESIGN
◎

Define what would count.

Review the geometry, calibration, uncertainty and controls. Agree the result that would change the next decision.

02 / BUILD & MEASURE
↗

Follow every photon.

Start with optical accounting. Progress to a calibrated mirror benchmark only when the apparatus is qualified.

03 / CHALLENGE & IMPROVE
⊕

Make the result repeatable.

Test thermal artifacts, switch paths and repeat sessions. Use the evidence to decide whether a tunable material study is justified.

WHAT WE BRING

A defined first-test plan, analysis code, a transparent research record and a commitment to reporting meaningful null results.

WHAT WE WANT TO BUILD TOGETHER

A bounded technical contribution: design review, owned apparatus, calibrated components, sample fabrication or independent validation.

Discussion may lead to paid engineering, supply, joint research or sponsorship. Scope, costs, attribution and intellectual-property terms would be agreed separately.

THE PARTNER SHORTLIST / SELECT AN ORGANIZATION

Different expertise.
One decisive test.

Our current best-fit shortlist prioritizes the practical work ahead. These are prospective collaborators; no agreement or endorsement is implied.

Shortlisted 22 October 2026 from official organizational capabilities. Fit is Metric Flight’s editorial assessment, not a ranking of organizational quality or evidence of willingness to partner. Another strong fit? Choose “Another organization” below.

Known photon momentum is the first benchmark. Alpha 1 remains a separate, unvalidated hypothesis. No Metric Flight thrust result or flight capability is claimed.
