What the site stores
This site uses no analytics tag, advertising tracker, mailing-list database or account system. Calculator inputs and local research-note fields remain in your browser. The production contact form sends your name, email, optional organization, topic and message to Christopher Hill to respond to your inquiry. Do not send confidential or sensitive information.
The hosting provider may process ordinary request and security logs. If the site is viewed through a private hosting account, that provider’s authentication and privacy practices also apply.
Contact security and retention
The production contact form uses an essential, session-only cookie with Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite protections. A keyed hash of your connection address and recent attempt times is used for rate limiting in private temporary storage. Raw connection addresses and message content are not written to those rate-limit files. Recent attempts are evaluated over a 15-minute window; expired entries are removed as their storage bucket is used. Host logs and delivered email may have separate retention schedules.
Contact messages are used to review and respond to your inquiry, not to subscribe you to marketing. Messages remain in the recipient’s email system as needed for correspondence and records. You may ask about access or deletion through the contact form. This site cannot control the hosting or email provider’s independent security records.
External links
Original papers, mission records and linked founder initiatives are external services with their own terms and privacy practices. Visiting them can disclose ordinary connection information to those providers. No external fonts, imagery or analytics are requested by this site’s page code.
Research use
The site provides research context and educational models. It is not a performance warranty, engineering certification or offer of a flight-ready product. Do not use a simplified calculator as the sole basis for hardware or operational decisions. Original publications retain their authors’ and publishers’ rights.
Accessibility
The site uses semantic navigation, labeled controls, keyboard focus, responsive layouts and a skip link. Animations respect the reduced-motion preference and can be paused. Every animation is accompanied by explanatory text; quantitative information appears as text rather than only within a moving canvas.
