Four types of source record
- Measured evidence: reported laboratory or flight observations. The context and scale remain part of the claim.
- Theory & models: mathematical results, numerical predictions or proposed architectures. A simulation result is not an apparatus result.
- Test & replication: disputed positive claims and null tests, with limitations shown together.
- Methods & definitions: measurement practice, technical guidance and maturity definitions.
Company status
Metric Flight is a proposed research venture. Alpha 1 is a company hypothesis requiring a physical definition and test. No company thrust dataset, independent replication, vehicle prototype or measured propulsion performance is supplied for this edition.
Source method
The 41-record atlas was assembled by targeted searches of primary publications, author repositories and official institutional records. Each note links to the original work, summarizes its contribution and marks a limitation. This is a curated first edition, not an exhaustive systematic review. Some records were checked at abstract or repository level rather than by complete full-text analysis.
Publication dates follow the source. When early-online and journal-issue years differ, the record notes both where available. Undated institutional definitions are identified as reference material. Sources can be revised; consult corrections and current primary records before using a result in design.
Illustrations and calculations
All moving visuals in this edition are original code-based schematics. They are not test photography, live telemetry, actual apparatus or validated Alpha 1 simulations. Calculator assumptions and constants are stated beside the results. Reduced-motion settings are respected, and a pause control is available throughout.
AI assistance
AI assisted research discovery, synthesis, wording, coding and design. Primary records were used to check the source metadata and central claims. This process does not constitute independent peer review or experimental validation.
Corrections
Use the research-note builder to identify the page, the challenged statement, the original source and a proposed correction. Preserve both the correction and its reason in the next edition’s change record.
