Christopher Hill uses Alpha 1 to describe a hypothesized larger structure associated with the NetPhysics research direction. “Mappable” is a proposed property, not evidence that a physical field has been measured or that a drive mechanism exists.
The source material supplied for this venture contains no Alpha 1 dynamical equation, units, measured spatial coordinates, coupling coefficient, energy budget or propulsion dataset. MaxwellX’s public investment thesis also describes Alpha 1 as lacking a supplied dynamical model and distinguishable observable.

A useful specification, before hardware
Write the field variables, units and evolution law. Define the apparatus geometry and material response. Solve the ordinary electromagnetic, thermal and mechanical model first. Then state the additional prediction, parameter range and uncertainty required to distinguish it.
For any new field, derive the combined matter-plus-field momentum balance. A nonuniform externally maintained field can exert force on a subsystem; the external source and its reaction must remain in the model. An asymmetric internal geometry alone does not supply an external momentum reservoir.

What the animation means
The grid is conceptual artwork. Its motion is programmed for explanation and carries no physical units. It is not an Alpha 1 solution, map of the universe, device simulation or evidence of field control. There is no hidden thrust value behind the graphic.
The first decision
If the hypothesis cannot yet produce a distinct measurable prediction, keep it in theory development. Continue the established measurement and photon-momentum programs independently. Do not make a laboratory purchase depend on an undefined drive effect.
