Is this an operating propulsion laboratory?
Metric Flight is a research venture in formation. The site presents research, models and an experimental plan. It does not claim measured company thrust, an operational propulsion system or an already staffed laboratory.
Are all 20 roles open jobs?
They are detailed capability profiles and an invitation for expressions of interest. They are not 20 funded vacancies. One person may cover several profiles; the actual team size and appointment order depend on the funded experimental plan.
Where would I work?
Location, facilities, on-site requirements and relocation are to be agreed. Instrument construction and measurement require suitable physical facilities. Theory, software and review work may allow distributed participation, subject to the agreed role. No remote-work or relocation package is guaranteed.
Do I need to believe Alpha 1 will work?
No. You need to be willing to evaluate a defined model and its evidence rigorously. Finding a fatal flaw, a conventional explanation or a useful null result can be a valuable scientific contribution.
Are NASA, SpaceX or cited laboratories recruiting with you?
No partnership or joint recruiting arrangement is implied. Institutions referenced in the research or partner section are prospective organizations or source authors, not confirmed employers, sponsors or endorsers.
What email and documents should I use?
Use a company, university, laboratory or other organization email on its own domain. Personal and disposable email providers are blocked, as in the partner access flow. Provide public or shareable links; the form accepts no attachments. Do not send private employer documents or third-party personal information.
Will my application sign me into the Research Room?
No. Recruitment is a separate inquiry. It sends your submitted contact details and research summary to the founder for review. It does not send a login link or subscribe you to marketing. Partner access remains a separate form.
How is my information used?
Your inquiry is delivered to the founder’s email system to assess fit and correspond with you. Delivered email is retained as needed for correspondence and records; you can request access or deletion through the contact form. Hosting and email providers may keep their own operational records.
