Evidence and accountability

From review to a measured result.

Review corrections and the evidence needed to advance.

Review disposition

Claude’s Edition 11 score of 68.5/100 is an editorial rubric assessment, not a scientific certification. We do not award points for a name, an upload or a promise. A signed review needs an identified expert, declared conflicts, inspected artifacts and an actual disposition.

Corrections adopted

  • One status source supplies current edition, review date, evidence states and inventory counts.
  • Primary mirror criterion and synthetic uncertainty calculations now use the same 2 W design.
  • Gravity tests, Casimir structuring, HALO and the Dresden balance have dedicated source records with explicit read status. The two Adelberger papers are reviews, not independent primary experiments. The EMDrive record was already present.
  • Metrology organizations lead the shortlist; NASA and SpaceX are not affiliation-dropdown entries.
  • Recruitment begins with the first measurement assignment; proposed compensation remains on its terms page.

Scientific limits retained

Dresden’s published range supports considering 13.343 nN, but its resolution and calculated error are not our uncertainty certificate. EPFL’s 10 nN resolution does not demonstrate our 2.001 nN ceiling. A gated-electron estimate is not a formal equivalence-principle exclusion. Alpha 1 hardware stays on hold.

The simple gas estimate A·P·ΔT/(4T) gives 83.33 pN for 1 cm², 0.001 Pa, 1 K and 300 K. Geometry, accommodation and outgassing require measurement. Optical loss, thermal conductance and fixture response remain separate unknowns.

Independent review brief

First deliverable: a signed design review of the protocol, full-force estimator, independent calibration, covariance budget, nuisance controls and data plan. Reviewer must disclose conflicts and fees, identify files by hash, list major/minor issues and issue PASS, REVISE or HOLD with dated reasons. Payment must not depend on a favorable outcome.

Open actions and ownership

  • Founder: appoint and contract the experimental lead, metrology lead and independent reviewer; obtain consent before publishing names.
  • Experimental lead: freeze apparatus, effective sample size, linearity acceptance and run schedule; qualify controls.
  • Founder and lead: register the approved protocol and attach its immutable identifier. OSF and DOI records remain null until returned by the services.
  • Founder: request paid calibration and design advice from suitable metrology groups. No outreach is recorded as sent in this build.
  • Experimental team: acquire and publish measured known-force data; independent replication follows.

Procurement decision

The baseline retains Christopher Hill’s owned-equipment requirement. Claude’s rented host-lab route is an alternative proposal, not an approved change to that requirement. No instrument orders, host-lab agreement or funded appointment are implied.

Registration handoff

The downloadable protocol and code are ready for specialist review. The deposit still needs named contributors, final apparatus details, signed approval and frozen secondary-test rules. Review the OSF registration guidance before submission.
