METRIC FLIGHT / TOOL 05 / SAMPLE WORKSHEET

VISUAL LABORATORY · EDITION 10

Compare the sample.
Keep the assumptions.

A local CSV worksheet for comparing bounded optical models and exporting their inputs, forces and limitations.

DEFAULT ROWS ARE ILLUSTRATIVE

Compare the same two-channel optical model across sample assumptions. A local file stays in this browser. This worksheet does not verify uploaded measurements.

R and T are fractions from 0 to 1; power is watts; angles are degrees under the normal-incidence convention. Use status “illustrative” or “user supplied”. Maximum 100 rows / 100 KB.

USEFUL COMPARISONS

Keep the measurement
next to the claim.

Before treating a modeled sample as a candidate device, keep its sample identity, wavelength, polarization, incident-power calibration, angular collection coverage, temperature history and material maps with the result. Those records are outside this simplified worksheet.

The worksheet assigns 1 − R − T to absorption as an explicit modeling assumption. Do not enter a selected diffraction-order efficiency as total R. If other scattering channels are unknown, this model cannot establish the sample’s total force or heating. No composite quality score is generated.

A material model is a starting point. A prediction earns confidence through measurement, controls and independent review.
